Oscho Stuttgart – chilled by day, full-on party by night

Do you know that feeling when you've been somewhere and immediately want to tell everyone about it? That's exactly how I felt about Oscho.

Right in the middle of the city, just behind Königsstraße

You simply walk down the little side street parallel to Königsstraße, and there you are. It doesn't get much more central than this, close to the city center and super easy to reach.

During the day: coffee and small snacks

When you walk in, you first find yourself among lots of little tables, all really stylishly furnished. During the day there are croissants and a bit of pastry, plus a small lunch menu – but honestly, I wouldn't necessarily go there for a big lunch, it's more for a quick snack in between. The main focus is clearly on good coffee during the day and then on the evening program later on.

The curtain behind which the party starts

And now comes the part that really got me hooked: there's an area that's simply separated by a curtain, and behind it waits a huge, super cool bar with a dance floor and a few more seating options off to the side. That's exactly where things kick off in the evening. I've been there myself for after-work drinks, and on a Thursday evening it was really packed. Definitely a recommendation if you're up for a cool after-work drink.

Sitting outside with a bit of greenery

The outdoor area is a bit smaller and the view isn't the most spectacular – you're basically sitting between buildings – but it's really nicely done: little flowers on the tables, a few plants as dividers, so you still feel surrounded by greenery and comfortable. We were there one evening just to grab a drink, and you can really settle in and enjoy sitting outside for a long time.

For anyone with something to celebrate

If you're already thinking about where to throw your next birthday party or company event: Oscho can also be rented out. By the way, the manager is noticeably often there himself, and the team around him is really friendly and attentive.

Who do you meet there?

In terms of crowd, I'd say it skews a bit younger. During the day, over coffee outside, it's more the younger generation, and in the evening during after-work it gets a bit more mixed, but overall the crowd ranges from early twenties to early thirties.

So, would I go back?

Definitely. We had a white wine spritzer and an alcohol-free Crodino, both freshly made and really tasty, plus friendly staff and fair prices – honestly, there's nothing to complain about.

Good to know: Side street parallel to Königsstraße, very central in Stuttgart During the day: coffee & small snacks · In the evening: bar with dance floor Also available to rent for private parties or company events; Popular for after-work drinks, correspondingly packed on Thursday evenings

Have fun celebrating,
